From what we know of Mike, Tyson was not seeking to box with Naomi but to do 
something with her box, perhaps without her consent, so Ayer was right to 
intervene. From what we know of Naomi, Ayer may have saved Tyson from an awful 
hiding. Logic required this danger be averted. Both Ayer and Mike later had 
religious experiences.
