[lit-ideas] PS re Conjunctionally Titled Pubs & Their Invited Implicature

My nephew is landlord of a pub in Bristol called the Old Duke but its not 
the Grand Old Duke of York nor yet the Duke of Wellington - in this case 
its the  Duke Ellington; its a jazz pub down in the harbour.  Across the 
cobbles outside the pub is the Landogger Trow, the pub where it is said 
Blind Pugh met the other pirates from Treasure Island...
