"Truthful words are not beautiful; beautiful words are not truthful. Good words are not persuasive; persuasive words are not good." -Lao-Tzu

Don't let eloquence mislead you;
silver-tongues won't school or feed you,
and what sets your hearts atwitter
may prove glitter that embitters.
Instead of a hoped-for rail splitter,
you could help elect a plain no-hitter.

Winged words do charm, you must allow,
though some came from Hitler and old Mao,
and Humbert Humbert wrote quite well
though Vlad insists his soul's in hell.

Vote for the pol you think is best.
It won't matter to the dispossessed.
Your carriage will soon a pumpkin seem:
at least that's recent history's theme.
