I'm a tad confused here and am led to wonder how many Judith Evans we have on
this list. I am under the distinct impression that Judith referred to my naming
practices as "sexist." The allegation occurred approximately 3 months ago and is
firmly lodged somewhere in the bowels of our archives. I am, and we are, now
being asked to believe that she made no such allegation. One of us has been
hitting the cooking wine somewhat beyond the limits of libational propriety.
And though I am not a Baron - at least I'm not recognized as such outside the
Kingdom of Volgograd - let me assure all that I do not drink cooking wine, or
cooking vodka for that matter.

I very much wish to have this matter settled asap, not only for the sake of my
own personal and professional reputation, but for all others in this list who
risk becoming innocent victims of thoughtless accusations of vice and baseless
assessments of our character. Some accusations are simply hurtful; others bear
the potential of being distinctly harmful.
