I read that Celts originated in the Urals. Some went left towards Britian,
others right, towards Mongolia. But more recently there has been a deal of
scepticism about the category itself. I was given the ancestry package this
year and so sent in the sample. I would dismiss the results as nonsense on the
grounds you all have laid out—the categories make no sense historically—but
they did identify relatives I knew about, so the science isn’t silly. Maybe
they need to hire a historian or two?
