When I was a kid, the Protestant notion of "heaven" terrified me -- I
perceived of it as a linear going on and on and on and never stopping and I
just couldn't imagine that. I think Catholicism may do a better job of
portraying heaven as a state, a condition, a different kind of reality from
this, rather than a linear infinite time-line. Maybe.
