Hold on a minute! That was Hempel. I know you like Popper, but jeez, he
gets more work in your posts than an accordion player at a Polish
wedding. From Nietzsche, we've high-tailed it to Poppermania.

My slim and increasingly unimportant point was that, as per my reading
of Nietzsche's unsystematic psychology -- and yes I've read Fred, even
passages in German ("Lordy! Gladys, there's an American intromitting
discussion in...Gasp...more than one language!"), even listened to some
of his bush-league piano music -- people do what they want to do.

People do what they want to do.  That's what they do. Yep.
