Flipping channels to divert my attention from the eggplant in my throat, I
catch a snippet of Wheel of Fortune. Some gal won $22,000 (yes, that's
thousand) for guessing the appropriate word. I believe it took her less than
5
minutes. Not bad money for her time. The plumber just left after mucking my
house up with endless trails of mud and grime, only to tell me he didn't
really
know what to do to make my drains drain, but his time would cost me $395. I
said I wasn't really comfortable paying nearly $400 for no results and to
have the company call me Monday. I hope I coughed on him before he left. The
washing machine repair person was out also this afternoon, to examine my 2
year old washer, tell me the transmission was shot, and would cost $300 to
replace. I see that it is now the era of disposable appliances in America.
Well, God bless saving time.

going to bed until May
