Le Cercle Rouge (1970): French crimi directed by Jean-Pierre Melville, with Alain Delon and Yves Montand. Melville creates a plot and characters, without using the standard Hollywood items, such as a love story, etc. Brilliant movie. If you like French 50s gangster movies, this one is very good. French, with English subtitles.
