Not to me. Any life, including that of our paranoid lady, is too precious.

Lawrence continues:

"I have no idea what principle was behind Phil's assertions. He never did
say. He does seem to embrace the general Leftist-Pacifist value that the
preservation of human life pretty much trumps anything else, but it is
difficult to force that into a coherent principle -- at least I've never
heard it done."

I am, by no stretch, a 'Leftist', even by your own criteria. As I have told
you on several occasions, my pacifism is theological and has very little in
common with what you call 'Leftist'. I am sympathetic to your need to have
everything fit into an either/or, but some blocks are neither square nor
round.

Obtusely,

Phil Enns
