[lit-ideas] Locke, Stock and Carol

Say at Christmastide John Locke was basting his chicken. The above subject 
title might seem appropriate.

Some philosophers lend themselves to this treatment and others not. The names 
Wittgenstein and Heidegger may have been contrived to avoid it. But then 
perhaps not in German. Kant may have known the English would ridicule him this 
way but perhaps he was safe in German. 

It's not a simple topic and Paul's simple comment trivialises it.
