I remember the name of every teacher and professor I've ever had since grade 1. I can't remember the name of my kindergarten teacher, though, since I spoke very little English at that time. I wouldn't be at all surprised if there were a strong positive correlation between number of years spent in formal schooling and ability to recall one's teachers' and professors' names. Much anectodal evidence supports my hypothesis. (Eg: A classmate of mine in grade 5 quit school in grade 6 to join the Hell's Angels. Last time I saw him (1984), he could recall the name of only one teacher he had had in school.) Such inductive evidence may of course be corroborative of a universal natural or social law/generalization. If there are universal moral laws, why not also universal natural laws? Walter O.
