Cossack Plumber.  Now that takes a smiley face.  I meant Joe the Cossack
Cowboy.  Or I suppose Ivan the Cossack Cowboy.  I know I know.  Cossacks
weren't nice people.  But there aren't any nice people, or nice peoples, in the
world, virtually not a one.  Like cowboys, nice people(s) exist only in our
mythologies.

Just thought I'd mention that the 'g' in Yevgenie is pronounced like the 'g' in
ghost, as in Yevgeny Onegin.  Actually Yevgeny Onegin, sorry.  A
transliteration mistake.  The 'ie' seems to make the 'g' sound like the 'g' in
Gene.  I never actually listened to the opera Yevgeny Onegin.  Eric, are you
familiar with it?  Dark, brooding?  In dire need of a frowny face?

Actually, if you're a real cowboy you're probably a freed slave or out of work
soldier from the Civil War looking for work.  Or a Russian Cossack immigrant
doing horsemanship in NYC or Philadelphia in a Cossack style embroidered
shirt.  So if you like cowboys you'll have to thank the people at Liberty
Island who changed Yevgenie Autryinski into Gene Autry.  Okay, never mind, I
made him up but it captures the reality of the origin of the cowboy.  The real
cowboys are long forgotten.  There's actually a book I came across once on
the myth of the cowboy but it too is long forgotten.  If I think of it I'll
post it.
