Wife is one of those Finns who basicly drops dead when it hits +25C. About the
average temperature this summer. I suggested she ought to to join some
anti-global-warming group, "Too damn hot for that," I was told.

It's extremely hot in Palm Springs. +122 F a few days ago.

I returned this afternoon from a week in Germany. It's very hot in Europe. High
temperatures
and high humidity. It has been very hot for six weeks, with no respite. It's
the hottest
month in a century for Germany. Very few stores, and practically no homes have
air
conditioning. The bus and street cars also don't have air conditioning and were
very hot.
