I have an idea. If we as (diminishing) super-power/cop of the world want to save countries and populations of people, maybe we should send troops to Uganda. There's a piece on it in a recent Smithsonian. Children by the thousands there are forced to become killers, chopping up other childrens' bodies. Literally. Oh wait. They have no oil. My bad. I certainly don't believe that everything is 'going just fine in Iraq' nor have I said anything like that. What I have said is that conditions, both material and social/political, in Iraq are improving. Iraq is still a mess and most likely will be for at least several years.
