I wondered if you checked with the French?
I was reading about (former) President Chirac's dog the other day -- when
Bo attacked reporters --: The French president's dog -- a poodle what can
you expect -- suffered from depression.
The French use 'personne' only in the negative:
"Il n'ya personne". Odd.
