Because of the war on Iraq, some Muslims are being attracted to extremist versions of militant
Islam.
The war ON Iraq? Surely you mean the war to oust the Saddam regime? The only war ON Iraq right now is being perpetrated by the al-Qaeda.
As for the rest, it's like saying that because of the war with the Nazis, some Brits of German descent are being attracted to Nazi ideology.
Screw 'em if they are being attracted to militant Islam. Shut down their
mosques and throw them all in jail and make 'em knit sweaters for British
troops. You don't allow insurgency recruiting in your country, period. Would
the Brits have allowed Nazi rallies during the Blitz? But oh no, we've got to
be all touchy-feely about the radical Islamists. Screw 'em. Make it known that
if they join militant Islamic groups they'll either end up dead or knitting
sweaters for the soldiers.
