I would just like to point out that by historical standards we live in an extremely peaceful world. There are about half a dozen on-going armed conflicts I can think of: Iraq, Afganistan, Sudan/Darfur, Kongo, Czechnya, Nepal, Columbia(?). Two, Sudan and Nepal, are showing signs of coming to an end while Sri Lankan one seems to start again. This is due to so combination of following: Trade, democracy, US hegemony, UN. Or advances in diplomacy, increasing wealth and the loss of relative economic importance of raw materials to name a few less often mentioned. Or maybe we are just getting better, Cheers, Teemu Helsinki, Finland __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo!
