we accept emendations only in French & Georgian. Anything else is
amateurish as the laughable claims by the baroness friend of speranza
attest in spades.
it turns out that there are either three or as many worlds as anyone likes,
one is for morality, one is for aesthetics, one is for unactualized events
such as the 97th war between Tibet and China, two worlds are reserved for
farts emitted by Grice respectively in Oxford and in Berkeley
The baroness received for xsmas the complete set of translations of the
work by dylan in german and in polish, while speranza receive a three
prongs model

This "no more, no less" is not Popper's view - in his Emory lectures he
takes questions from the audience and indicates he is entirely open to a
more complicated variant of his W123 schema, say with a W4 for morality.

Popper's view is that there *at least* three worlds or realms; and there
are also important divisions within these worlds or realms. So W1 can be
divided up *at least* into physics, chemistry and biology - and of course
these could be treated as each being their own realm. W2 can be divided *at
least *between sense experience and 'thoughts'.

It was against the purposes of Popper's philosophising, or at least
unnecessary to them, for Popper to rely on a much more granular account
than the somewhat simple division into W1, W2, W3.* It is was difficult
enough to shift most academic philosophers from a W1-W2 ontology, by
bringing in W3, so imagine how much more difficult if a much more
complicated schema were proposed for discussion.

*Perhaps Popper knew that some people react, to the careful formulations
and examination of issues by UK Law Lords, by dismissing them as
"longwinded" or even "amateurish". Perhaps these people would react less
badly to W123 as a schema than to a more complicated variant, which they
might dismiss as "longwinded". However, that would still leave some who
would no doubt dismiss even the simple W123 schema as "amateurish".

Grunebaum was offered once the Oxford chair of „German philosophy“. He
declined the offer: „Philosophy, like virtue, is entire.“ Popper may be
metaphorically a different animal. While Peirce was never offered the
Oxford Chair of German philosopher, it may be argued that, Graeco-Roman
philosophy aside, the clearest account of a ‚third realm‘ we find in the
oeuvre of Peirce.
For the record, though, some remarks in Popper’s first language, German
(Austrian variety) on Popper’s W3. I shall try (if not whistle) some stuff
that may serve as a bit of a background towards what Grunebaum may want to
call a sketch of an ‘English‘ translation.
„Die Drei-Welten-Lehre ist eine ontologische
<https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ontologie> Position, die die Existenz
dreier Welten <https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Welt> annimmt.“ „The theory
of the three worlds is an ontological [or ‚metaphysical,‘ if you must]
POSITION, which posits the existence of three worlds – no more, no less.
„Diese drei Welten sind: die Außenwelt (= physikalische Welt materieller
Objekte, z. B. Berge, Autos, Häuser), die Welt des Bewusstseins
<https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bewusstsein> (z.
mathematische Sätze).“ „These three worlds are: the outer world (i.e. the
physical world of material things, such as mountains, automobiles, and
houses); the world of consciousness (including thoughts, feelings,
experiences) and, finally, the world of objective contents of thoughts (as
in mathematical sentences).“
„Eine Dreiteilung in Logos <https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Logos>, Psyche
<https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psyche> und Physis
<https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Physis> findet man bereits in der
klassischen griechischen Philosophie.“ „The triadic division into ‚logos,‘
‚psykhe‘ and ‚physis‘ is already found in classical Graeco-Roman
philosophy. And Grunebaum would know about this when he earned his BA and
later MA in Lit. Hum. Diog. Laert. is for example always classifying this
or that philosopher’s theory into the ‚physical‘, the ‚psychological,‘ and
the ‚logical.‘“
„Die Drei-Welten-Theorie von Gottlob Frege
<https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gottlob_Frege> wurde 1918 in seiner
Arbeit Der Gedanke formuliert.“ „It is however better to start tracing this
historically to Gottlob Frege’s three-world theory, which appeared in 1918
in his oeuvre on thoughts.“ (Known in Oxford via P. T. Geach’s and M.
Black’s translation in „Mind,“ – vide Beaney on Frege).“
Vorstellungen. Ein drittes Reich
<https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drittes_Reich_(Frege)> muss anerkannt
werden.“
„Thoughts are neither things of the outer world nor representations.“
„A third realm must be recognised!“
„Ein weiterer Vertreter ist Karl Raimund Popper
<https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karl_Raimund_Popper>, mit dessen Namen die
Drei-Welten-Lehre in besonderem Maße verbunden ist. Popper nennt die dritte
Welt „Welt 3“.“ „A later development we find of course in Popper, with his
idea of the „Welt 3“ (a German translation of a suggestion by Eccles,
„World 3“. Popper liked the abbreviation, if an abbreviation it is.
„Ähnlich wie bei C. S. Peirce
<https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_S._Peirce> nimmt er an, dass die
objektiven geistigen Gehalte Produkte des menschlichen Denkens seien, nach
ihrer Erschaffung aber eine eigene Existenz besitzen. Das Bewusstsein ist
bei ihm die zwischen physikalischer und geistiger Welt vermittelnde
Instanz.“ Peirce should never be forgotten (Grunebaum lectured on him).
Peirce can be, as Grunebaum has it, ‚krypto-technical,‘ and some think he
gets even more kryptotechnical when translated to German.
„Logos“ zu erkennen, wichtig sind.“ „Another author to consider is Roger
Penrose, a very interesting philosopher. The surname is Welsh (cfr.
‚pen-guin‘).“
„Einen methodischen „Trialismus“ vertreten auch einige Sozial- und
Rechtsphilosophen wie Hermann Kantorowicz
<https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hermann_Kantorowicz> und Gustav Radbruch
<https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gustav_Radbruch> (Triade (Kultur)
<https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Triade_(Kultur)>). Der Rechts- und
Kulturphilosoph Axel Montenbruck

trialism is especially popular in legal philosophy, as developed by authors
like Herman Kantorowicz and Gustav Radbruch.“
„Also, never forget, the oeuvre of Axel Montenbruck.“
