And, just this morning, I read somewhere that the insurance companies have found a teeny loophole (you should have seen the unseemly scramble to scramble through) that allows them to get out of covering pre-existing conditions in children by just refusing to cover them at all. The government can't make them sell policies to all comers until 2014 (or something). Deformed, indeed.

OK, so Congress has made a hell of a mess of Health Care Reform. At least something got done -- after a hundred years (or whatever) of our government assiduously protecting the well-protected. The pall of Socialism has at last fallen across America -- except for the fact that it's corporate America who will benefit mostly from this deal. But somebody has to benefit, right? The "Marxist-Communist-Socialist-Welfare State" we Health Care Reformers crave might well be a precursor sign of Anti-Christ. But what of it? We've given Christianity 2000 years and all it's given us is pedophile priests. So, it's time to give the Anti-Christ a chance. Maybe he'll abolish all nationalisms, defuse all nuclear weapons, close down Guantanamo, get us out of Iraq and Afghanistan, let all peoples in whatever country live in whichever century they choose even if they're saturated with oil. Maybe the Anti-Christ will choose to spend the trillions that would have been spent warring for that oil on alternative energies. Revitalize American industry save the environment and our nation from the ravages of greed.
