If you don't like curry, you might try my mother's classic Southern-cooking okra and tomatoes. Chop and saute an onion until it begins to turn translucent. Add okra, which is chopped into cross-sections about a half-inch thick. Continue stirring until okra begins to soften. Add a can of tomatoes if you don't have fresh. Simmer.
