Donal's post and this one made me think of an interview I heard. The brother of Ted Kazinski and a relative of one of his victims have formed a friendship. They were asked about the nature of forgiveness. They explained that exploring understanding of forgiveness is empowering and improves lives. PNCA hosted a show connected to the Forgiveness Project. I recall reading texts written by an IRA gunman and his kneecapped victim, and by a South African policeman and his victim's living relative. These were moving stories. I now admit three things: I argued against the show coming, thinking it hokey, and when I spent time with it, I still didn't understand. The third thing? There's a possibility they may be on the right track.
