The best shock art is done in movies and TV.

     SHOCK ART AU POIVRE

* Take one (1) stock character, give them an endearing trait so the audience will sympathize; * Blend in at least one (1) formidable villain (preferably one who likes classical music or fine art);
* Add several "ticking clocks" and
* One to three (1-3) subplots with ticking clocks,
* Combine with shotguns and gasoline explosions; and
* Garnish with one or more (1+) "innocents" who are drawn into the conflagration.

Serve with curses, the hero's pop music, and their disdain for rules. For a morally ambiguous ending, use a female vocalist; for an upbeat ending, with moral issues resolved, use a male vocalist.

Your shock art should now run completely on adrenaline. No character development, high concept, or painterly cinematography required.
