People got their jollies from yelling "renew!" "renew!" as 30-year olds were 
periodically "renewed" in a theatre.  Kind of a cool place to live.


I write:
I know, sounds like throw 'em to the lions.  My point is that it's not a bad 
way to die.  Science tells us that reality is in our minds (or stress wouldn't 
be a problem).  The people in the domed city were convinced they were going to 
be reborn again.  In that sense, death was abolished.  The shattering of their 
illusion in learning there was no Sanctuary was like eating of the tree of 
knowledge and being thrown out of the Garden of Eden.  Sanctuary, ironically, 
was in the city.  But enough Logan's Run, a movie that either no one saw or no 
one remembers.
