[lit-ideas] Re: Europe's future, catastrophic or apocalyptic

Given the praise coming from the Love Hammer, I'm
beginning to think there may be some truth to the
thesis that Rammstein is the first step in the
destruction of European civilization. Germans
naturally started this, the first step was turning
David Hasselhoff's "Looking for Freedom" into a hit.

And the mental image of Rammstein playing naked has
postponed future generations of Pyyluoma's
indefinetely. Thanks Judy!

Still, the most stunning film opening scene is in
Lilja for Ever: distressed little Russian girl running
around in a Swedish DDR style suburb, an angel lost in
concrete, with "Mein Herz brennt" playing.

Cheers,
