Bit like anti-semitic you mean...interesting.

It comes down to writing generalised phrases without thought. For instance, 'Given what we know women of the region are capable of...', or 'the unwashed Arab masses...' Now if I were to warble on about 'moneygrabbing Jews', Stan would be down on me like a thunderclap. But for Phil, the rhetorical device doesn't work.

Or are you in denial Phil?

Nope.

That rhetorical device doesn't work on me.  What bothers me is that by
using the term in this hand-waving fashion, it becomes meaningless, and
therefore virtually useless, when confronted by the real thing.  Sad,
