People still do dishes?
Surviving by finding the cleanest dirty dish
Generally living in squalor

Into the radio/cassette recorder (remember those?) on the workbench I'd pop one
of the cassettes of Yo Yo Ma's recordings of J.S. Bach's Solo Cello Suites.

May I commend the Pierre Fournier recordings - these get to the heart, mind and
spirit of Bach like no other, including Yo Yo's (after them, Rostropovich's
celeberated traversal seems quite wrong, even though initially very impressive
in virtuoso terms [R can, and often does, make it sound like there are two
cellos]). Though almost fifty years old, and mono, the recording quality of the
Fournier is excellent.

Hold on. Yes, I've just checked on my ipod - the above is correct.
