A few weeks ago, Secretary of State Rice, asked about Iran, said the solution was
"Diplomacy, diplomacy, diplomacy."
So Iran sent a 27-page letter to Bush.
The White House spent most of today saying they knew of no letter.
Actually, they were trying to figure out how to reject it.
So this evening, Rice trots out and dismisses the Iranian letter "as a negotiating ploy."
Well, isn't that what you do in diplomacy? Negotiate?
Or shall we just skip to the bombing?
