Sounds like a gaggle of ring-fingered, medallion-wearing, hairy-chested types pulled from the casino of a cruise ship--to lecture on epistemology in Erewhon.

There were decent guys among this lot. We wouldn't have Plutarch's _Lives of the Noble Greeks and Romans_ if there weren't an interest in virtue here. For example, Socrates (excluding Brecht's account in "Socrates Wounded") was a virtuous soldier in the battle of Marathon.

C'mon, a first big step away from Mesopotamian Sky God madness: can't be all that bad.
