Peter: Right. The solution is to say "Skoal Yule" or "Io
Saturnalia".


Eric: That's a great idea! The more variety, the better. "Yule" is particularly fine, since the pr-Christian traditions have been suppressed or poorly assimilated. And Saturnalia would show our continuing debt to the Romans.

Certainly better than imagining one is living in some generic Star Trek universe, and has been cybernetically accorded "holiday time."
