[lit-ideas] Re: Bush's Class-War Budget

A like-minded and trustworthy friend recently told me that in 1983 W said that
Social Security would be bankrupt by 1988. All Bush's actions speak to a
dislike for the middle class, which is to say, for the country, since the
middle class is what makes this country what it is.

I'm well-aware that everyone in the Blue states and the rest of the planet will
suffer.

I only wanted to point out that Bush's voters will also suffer, and, because
they are poor
and in economically-depressed areas, they will suffer harder and have fewer
opportunities
for recovery.

The $14 trillion deficit, which proves the complete bankruptcy of Bush's
economic policy,
has provoked a bit of talk in Silicon Valley. The consensus seems to be that in
ten years,
we'll all be in Canada, Europe, or Southeast Asia.

The Red States, which no doubt will still be waving their flags and Jesus
action figures,
will be left with the bill.

yrs,
