*Yes. One year has passed, though, and restoring them
to their positions now as Ba'ath is a somewhat
different proposition. Other political parties have
been formed or have strengthened in the meanwhile.

view of the recent Shia uprising. The US might be
looking to pacify the Ba'athists and reinstall them to
