there was a lot of discussion here in Calif about Williams. it came up at dinners, meetings, and so on.

Williams started the Crips, one of the worst gangs in the US. They still are involved in drugs, murder, extortion, and they are perhaps even in Congress. Entire neighborhoods are destroyed because of the gangs.

After years in prison, Williams finally contributed something to society, yes, but he created a tremendous amount of damage that far outweighs his contributions.

How ironic that Schwarzenegger -- a man who's made millions of dollars glorifying murder and mayhem to young people -- should deny clemency to a Williams, a man who contributed more to society in the last 12 years than Arnold ever will even if he lives a thousand years. God bless America.
