Short version: Post Civil War demand for beef and rail access to the
northeast’s slaughterhouses helped create both the American cowboy and the
Armor brand, which led to union busting, Dial soap, Dale Carnegie, Stevie
Nicks’ dad, ownership by Greyhound and out of Dusseldorf, and finally
competition for Oscar Mayer’s “Lunchables."
