Where is Donal when one needs legal advice?>
Well, you usually have to make an appointment etc. This list may sometimes
encompass discussion of legal issues, especially their jurisprudential or
philosophical aspects, but it is not properly a forum for the giving of
specific legal advice of the kind Omar may need. Just as doctors at parties can
usually at best offer, sometimes helpful, generalities, and then recommend the
person consults their own doctor, so might I suggest Omar seeks specialist
advice from someone expert within the relevant field and who knows the likely
practical ins-and-outs of the relevant jurisdiction. Omar appears to have
already ignored the more general kind of advice anyone might give such as that,
within most jurisdictions, it is usually inadvisable to strike out at police
officers - and that, generally, such action may be very difficult to defend
unless shown in self-defence. The effect of procedural improprieties on a case
varies greatly from jurisdiction to jurisdiction, and from issue to issue.

I am. Then I am pretty sure that they were not applying the correct procedure

Well, I could hardly afford to issue visible or detectable injuries to a police
who is on duty. Hence a clumsy open hand strike.

Spent one today. It was a long day. After some cantankerous arguments, and in
an unclear situation in which I felt that I was being arbitrarily insulted in
public,I hit a police officer. They then overwhelmed me and took me to a
downstairs facility, but it seems that they were too busy with other matters to
give me a real lesson. The court session at 7 p.m. -yes courts work at evening
hours- released me with only a warning. What would Grice implicate about all
this ?
