A rather popular view here is that Republican are corrupt
and incompetent, but that Liberals are corrupt and insane.
Republicans will mismanage funds as they try to fight a
poorly-conceived war against Islamofascists. Democrats will
mismanage funds as they allow US interests to be severely
damaged by screwball notions.
Republicans will give us an Iraqi civil war. Democrats will
give us the Iran Hostage Crisis and turn a blind eye to the
growth of al-Qaeda. Some choice, eh?
Of course that doesn't answer your question. The real
answer, I suppose, is that making "Liberal" a cuss word is
the fruit of decades of Republican marketing strategy.
