One wonders why our representatives need to be written to. Don't they know what's going on? What's your guess why they're doing nothing at all? Same reason I guess that nobody moved a muscle about Iraq for years. They live on a different planet than we do, a planet loaded with lobby money and denial, powerful combination. It's amazing how people have to be prompted to do the darnedest things, when they're not acting like lemmings that is. I wonder if these meetings will be more productive than Al Gore's project. Thousands of people, imagine that. -----Original Message----- >From: Eric <mr.eric.yost@xxxxxxxxx> >Sent: Jan 26, 2007 7:08 PM >To: lit-ideas@xxxxxxxxxxxxx >Subject: [lit-ideas] A Project to Help Prevent Nuclear Terrorism > >This is one of my hobbyhorses, and I'd like to share it with the List. -EY > >-------- Original Message -------- >Subject: January Update >Date: Fri, 26 Jan 2007 13:05:44 -0800 >From: NTI and Families of September 11 <contact@xxxxxxx> >Reply-To: <contact@xxxxxxx> > > >*Turning the D into an A: >**A Project to Help Prevent Nuclear Terrorism* > >*January 2007 Update* > >New Nuclear Smuggling Case Is >A Wake Up Call > >There is an alarming news report this week about a man who was caught >smuggling stolen weapons-grade highly enriched uranium, material that >could be used to make a nuclear bomb (Click to read the _New York Times_ ><http://www.kintera.org/TR.asp?ID=M7231045512949769840128965> or >_Associated Press_ ><http://www.kintera.org/TR.asp?ID=M7231048412949769840128965> stories). > >This incident should be a wake-up call to all of us.
