Lawrence, these are beautiful. Serendipitously, we are currently translating
an exhibition catalogue for a show about Pictorialism, an art photography
movement that peaked in Japan in the 1910s and 20s. The focus on landscape,
the dogs as small figures in the landscape, the power of the near
monochromatic images all invite comparisons with the works of these Japanese
photographers.
