Dear Colleagues,
I would really appreciate if you could circulate this announcement to those who
may be interested.
We have an opening for a postdoctoral research associate at Indiana University,
Bloomington, Indiana. The candidate will work on a newly funded NIH project
aimed at studying the environmental exposure to organic flame retardants, per-
and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), and other persistent environmental
contaminants in senior care facilities in Indiana. The post-doc will be
responsible for laboratory work, including applying liquid-chromatographic and
gas chromatographic-mass spectrometry for the analysis of environmental and
biological samples, statistical data analyses, and manuscript writing. Other
responsibilities may include assistance with general laboratory operations and
student or staff supervision.
The minimum qualifications are a Ph.D. in environmental or analytical
chemistry, environmental health and toxicology, or any other field related to
environmental science and/or health. The successful candidate should have

English) are essential. Experience in organic extraction and chemical analyses
using mass spectrometry and in the analysis of organic pollutants is desired.
This position is open immediately. Salary is commensurate with qualifications.
