[LinuXpert Systems] One day Skill Development Program on 'Using Linux and Open Source Tools'

Dear member,

LinuXpert Systems has planned to conduct a one day Skill Development
Program in the month of November / December 2013, on the topic 'Using
 Linux and Open Source Tools' for the PG Students
(ME-CSE/Networking/VLSI/Embedded Systems), Teaching Faculties, Technical
Assistants and System Administrators.

The following topics will be covered in the training program with complete
hands-on practice in the lab.

1. A brief introduction about 'The UNIX philosophy'
2. Customized Linux Installation (installing only Core OS packages)
3. Installing additional packages using software management tools
4. Understanding the Linux Filesystem Hierarchy Standard (FHS) - v2.3
5. Understanding the VFS (Virtual Filesystem) in Linux
6. Improving the command level skills using Bash shell
7. Working with standard Text editors (vi/vim/nano)
8. Working with GNU Development Tools (gcc,g++,gdb,gas,ld,make etc)
9. Exploring the source code of the Linux Kernel and compilation
10. Network Configuration and Packet Filtering (Firewall) using iptables

The charges for conducting the training program is Rs.8,000/- only.
