I know that group membership is in the /etc/group file, but in the /etc/passwd file, the user id AND the group id are listed. I was able to compare the id's with the one in the /etc/group file. If you read my earlier email of 8 minutes ago, which maybe I should have previously written, there were 2 accounts with the same gid but different names.
