Have you made any changes recently? Or did this all of a sudden start
giving you this error message one day. If you have made any changes, like
a add a CD-RW SCSI or something to that effect, I would recommend checking
/etc/lilo.conf. An entry like this might be in order,

a. Change the lines in /etc/lilo.conf to
append="hdc=ide-scsi hdd=ide-scsi"
b. Move the /dev/cdrom link from hdc to scd0.
c. Change the scsi configuration for the cd-recorder in /etc/cdrecord.conf
to 0,1,0 (since it is now the second scsi host)

Hopefully, some of this will apply or at least spark some ideas.

Damian

Subject: cdrom won't mount

I'm trying to mount my cdrom.

I type this:

"mount  -t   iso9660  -r    /dev/cdrom    /mnt/cdrom"

Here is the message I get:

wrong fs, bad superblock on /dev/cdrom, or too many mounted file systems.
