> Does anyone know a quick way to get True Type Fonts in X-Windows > working? Functionality is built into X 4.0. If you're still running 3.3.x, all you have to do is run xfstt (slackware: package in the contrib/ directory) at startup or something, and read the directions in /us/doc/xfstt-x.x for the fontpath statement. You can add it on the fly with an' xset +fp unix:/7101', but you should add the fontpath to your XF86Config to make it permenant.
