[Linux-Discussion] XMMS help

Does anyone have problems with XMMS pausing or caching in the middle of
certain io or cpu intensive processes. I'll be doing smoething as simple
as ftping something and playing mp3s and it does this pausing for a
second throughout the whole song. I know my processor and hard drive
aren't too overloaded. It works wonderfully under Windows. I've maxed
the buffer in the XMMS options too. Any suggestions?
