Hi Guy's

Here is an update to the problem I earlier posted related to ping not
working.

I have a multi-boot pc (Linux/Win98/NT)(call it pc-a) and a dedicated linux
box (call it pc-b). If I boot pc-a to linux and assign it an ip 192.168.1.2
and ping this ip from pc-b the ping works fine. but if I boot it to Win98 or
NT and assign it the same ip (192.168.1.2) and try to ping from pc-b (linux
box) the ping doesn't works. It never gives me any error but if I abort it,
I see 100% packet loss. But at the asme time I can ping pc-b (linux box)
from pc-a no matter what I boot to (i.e. it could be linux,Win98 or NT) the
ping works fine from all three.

Any Idea as what could be wrong.

TIA.
