Win95a isn't a 16-bit OS, perse, but it's pretty close. The 2gig
limitation is probably due to the OS's lack of support for anything larger
(but I bet if you went into fdisk you could create another 2gig
partition).

Linux will probably see the whole thing right away (since it basically
avoids BIOS stuff whenever possible). If you don't mind fdisking the
whole thing, in fact, I'd suggest wiping the whole drive, splitting it in
half (or whatever) during your linux install, and then install windows
when that's all done (caveat: windows will destroy the master boot record,
so you'll have to boot linux with a floppy afterwards to restore it -
easily done though).

Then again, for $50-$80 or so, you could probably upgrade the motherboard
and CPU to something more decent, like a P233, and save yourself a lot of
headaches to begin with.
