Lime Lighter: Suite of software that allows people with low vision to read and
write music notation in an accessible environment. Magnifies conventional staff
notation up to a zoom level of 10X and a variety of color schemes. Scroll
scores hands-free with wireless pedal. Touch gestures for navigating quickly to
a particular measure. Mark up scores by drawing directly on screen with your
finger or stylus.
New and Improved with Lime 9.16
* MusicXML import even better and optimized for MusicXML produced by
Finale, Sibelius, and MuseScore.
* New touch gestures for moving from page to page and to beginning or
end of score
* New contexts for viewing the score:
o Ticker Tape shows music in one long ribbon without visible page and system
breaks.
o Auto Cue sizes score to show three staves at all times to allow visual
reference to previous, current, and next staves. May not be practical for you
if you read at high zoom levels.
* New and improved practice features
o Mute or adjust the volume of metronomic pulse in expanded Hear dialog
(CONTROL+H)
o Use wireless pedals or cursor arrow keys to slow down or speed up tempo
during playback.
* Expanded Lime Lighter options dialog
o Map scrolling functions to different pedals of the 4-pedal AirTurn QUAD
o Set function of one and two-finger tap
o Mute playback by default
o Selectively embolden numerous score elements such as ledger lines, note
stems, and bar lines ala “Modified Stave Notation” system
o Set pedal sequence to navigate through repeated sections
o Move past a gathered rest of 2 or more bars with a single pedal press
o Arrow keys emulate action of pedals
* Expanded General Options
o Embolden display only or printed scores as well
o New options for playback, tracking, and arrowing through the score
o Set background and foreground color scheme
o Preferred by musicians with dyslexia and certain eye conditions: Option to
assign a specific color to each degree of the scale and key signatures
o Adjust flash rate, font smoothing, and music window appearance
o Option to use Sonata font instead of MARL and TUFA
* Now possible to participate in a rehearsal or lesson using only touch
gestures and pedal presses without necessarily using keyboard or mouse.
* Numerous bug fixes
Note: You may order your AirTurn QUAD pedal from Dancing Dots for $190 plus
shipping. Original USB pedals still supported.
