[liblouis-liblouisxml] generate unicode characters

Hi all,
I was wondering: with liblouisxml semantic actions, is it possible to
generate any unicode character, defined by a 4-number code ?
I tried this but that doesn't work:
semanticAction elementSpecifier \* \x....
("...." = 4 numbers)
