Yes. use the -b option on the command line for xml2brl in liblouisxml. 
This will produce either a txt file or an xhtml file, depending on 
configuration settings.

The tables you use must be good for backtranslation. Some of the early 
tables are not. Check the configuration file options to see how to set 
things up properly.

The lou_backTranslate function in liblouis is not intenede for direct 
use. The lou_translate program is only a test tool for extensive testing 
of tables.
