Yes it does support math symbols and it also makes math a mess which is why 
America has decided as it has.

To be totally accurate, it is only the United States that has decided to use 
Nemeth with UEB. The rest of the UEB using world is just using Ueb for 
everything, as UEB supports math symbols as well.
